After Shalat Eid

after the eid prayer, people would rush to go home and greet their family. to ask forgiveness from the elders, parents, siblings, friends and each other. the day marks the start of the new muslim year hijriah with a clean slate.

Comments:
happy new Hijriah, may all your wishes come true.

I Love those men's hats! Do you have to have a New Year's resolution also?

The concept of asking forgiveness and starting with a clean slate transcends cultures and religions. It is always wonderful to hear concepts and values which are common around the world ... Happy Hijriah.

Interesting - Saida of New Brunswick was also talking about this holiday - very similar to the Jewish holidday - forgot the name of it =(
In a lot of ways, the two religions are fairly similar it appears - I hope they can find common ground in the middle east!

Its just great to see your photos and read your notes. Very human and touching,

All the best
